Responsibilities 

  • Plan remote group teaching & learning sessions in accordance with Eden Early Years delivery models 

  • Develop lesson plans in accordance with Eden delivery models 

  • Carry out remote group teaching & learning sessions, presenting lessons in a comprehensive manner, delivering excellence in learning 

  • Maintain and support the required number of learners in line with KPI’s 

  • Act as the primary contact for both the learner and employer 

  • Accurately record Off the Job Learning Hours (OTJ) and Impact of Learning via the learners’ Personal Learning Plan within e-portfolio system  

  • Actively promote, support, encourage the learner to continually update OTJ learning log booklet prior to 121 visit 

  • Review learner progress in accordance with operational, quality requirements, KPI’s  

  • Motivate/drive learners to achieve in line with planned end date 

  • Support the achievement of Functional Skills qualifications 

  • Report learner progress and engagement issues through the internal Cause for Concern (CFC process) 

  • Monitor Health & Safety, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Safeguarding within employer settings in line with Eden’s health and wellbeing processes & policies 

  • Provide effective IAG service to both internal and external clients/customers 

  • Manage own time effectively to progress learners including completion of paperwork and updating of systems to minimum standards 

  • Attend the centre as required to undertake IQA quality checks, caseload review/121, peer support, training 

  • Maintain communication with Skills Assessor and FS Tutor to maximise the progression and achievement of learners 

  • Remain up to date with current trends and themes inspected by Ofsted 

  • Ensure Functional Skills delivery is consistent with IQA and regulatory standards 

  • Continually develop working knowledge (CPD) of EYFS and Ofsted requirements, specifications and standards 

  • Promote Eden Training Solutions at every opportunity with employers and learners, as well as all other internal and external parties 

  • Actively market business and learner progression opportunities 

  • Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by line management 

Qualifications 

  • Mandatory qualifications 

  • A*- C GCSE English (or equivalent) 

  • TAQA/CAVA/equivalent qualification (eg: D32/33, A1) (Or a willingness to work towards) 

  • Teacher training qualifications or equivalent (eg: PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert-Ed) (Or a willingness to work towards) 
     

  • Desirable qualifications 

  • Foundation/honours degree in Early Childhood Studies or equivalent (Or a willingness to work towards) 

  • Paediatric First Aid Certificate (L3) 

  • V1, D34 or IQA related qualification (achieved or working towards) 

Skills & Experience 

  • Essential 

  • Supervisory / Management experience  

  • Extensive experience in Early Years  

  • Experience of 121 teaching, learning and assessment 

  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload 

  • Good ICT/digital skills 

  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals to learn and achieve through face to face and remote media interactions 

  • Experience of Ofsted Inspection 

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 

  • Problem solving skills 

  • Honesty and reliability 

  • Ability to work to strict deadlines 

  • Supervisory experience

  • Full enhanced DBS check
