As one of the UK's leading providers of education support services, we partner with thousands of schools and academy trusts, providing trusted expertise across HR, employment law, safeguarding, compliance and governance.

We're passionate about delivering exceptional service while creating an environment where our people can thrive. You'll be supported to develop your expertise, grow your career and make a real difference to the education sector.

About the Role:

As an Employment Law and HR Advisor, you'll provide practical, commercially aware employment law and HR advice to a diverse client base, helping leaders and managers navigate people issues with confidence.

You'll work across a broad range of employment law and employee relations matters, delivering clear, options-led advice that balances legal compliance, risk and practical outcomes. Whether supporting day-to-day HR queries, complex casework or wider project work, you'll play a key role in helping clients make informed decisions and achieve positive people outcomes.

This is a varied and rewarding role, combining advisory work with opportunities to contribute to training, policy development and wider client projects. You'll manage your own caseload, build trusted relationships with clients and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high-quality service.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Providing employment law and HR advice across a wide range of workplace issues.
  • Analysing complex situations and identifying risks, options and practical solutions.
  • Supporting clients with employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence management and organisational change.
  • Drafting and reviewing HR documentation, correspondence and policies.
  • Contributing to project-based and ad hoc client work, including investigations, audits, training and other value-added services.
  • Building strong client relationships through professional, responsive and solutions-focused support.
  • Sharing knowledge and contributing to the continuous improvement of our service offering.

About You:

We're looking for an experienced HR and employment law professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent judgement and a genuine passion for helping clients solve people challenges.

You will be comfortable analysing complex situations, asking the right questions and translating employment law into practical, straightforward advice that non-specialists can easily understand. You'll thrive in a fast-paced advisory environment, enjoy managing a varied caseload and be motivated by delivering excellent client service.

You'll likely bring:

  • Strong employment law knowledge and experience applying it in a practical HR environment.
  • Experience advising on a broad range of employee relations matters.
  • The ability to provide clear, risk-based and solutions-focused advice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The confidence to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively.
  • A client-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality service.
  • The ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to learning, continuous improvement and sharing knowledge with others.

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualification and/or a legal qualification.
  • Experience working within an HR consultancy, advisory service or multi-client environment.
  • Experience delivering training, project work or wider HR initiatives alongside advisory casework.

Our Benefits:

  • 28 days holiday and get an extra day for each year you stay with us, up to max 33 days PLUS bank holidays
  • Health Cash Plan, once you’ve passed probation, which includes access to a private GP
  • From day 1, free life insurance covering up to x4 your salary

  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Volunteer days – 3 paid volunteer days a year, with 2 dedicated to Education

By joining us, you will become part of a community that is dedicated to transforming lives and sustaining communities, where your voice is heard, your ideas are valued, and your individuality is celebrated. Together, we will continue to advance our passion for education and build brighter futures for all.

Employment offers are subject to satisfactory vetting checks. These checks will be run in line with the latest guidance and legislation. You will need to already have the right to work in the UK, as we are not able to offer any sponsorship(s) for visa applicants.
