Recruitment Consultant - SEND Specialist
Manchester | Full Time | Full UK Driving Licence Required

£28,000 - £34,000 basic salary + uncapped commission (£5,000-£20,000+ OTE)

Love building relationships, opening doors and growing a market?

We're looking for a driven, commercially minded Recruitment Consultant to join our high-performing Manchester team and help grow our specialist SEND division.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit back and wait for vacancies to land.
We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, spotting opportunities, building credibility and developing long-term partnerships across the Special Educational Needs sector.
Whether your background is recruitment, sales, business development or another target-driven environment, what matters most is your ability to engage people, build trust quickly and create opportunities where others see barriers.

Why Teaching Personnel?
Teaching Personnel, part of Supporting Education Group, is the UK's leading education recruitment agency.
Every day, we help schools find the people who make a genuine difference to children's lives. Within SEND, that impact is even greater.
As demand across specialist and mainstream SEN provision continues to grow, we're investing in our Manchester team and looking for someone who wants to become a recognised expert within this rewarding and rapidly developing sector.

The Role
As a Recruitment Consultant specialising in SEND, you'll build relationships with schools, educators and support staff while developing new business opportunities across your local market.
You'll spend your time:

  • Developing partnerships with SEND schools, alternative provisions and mainstream schools with SEND requirements.
  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities.
  • Building a network of teachers, teaching assistants and specialist support staff.
  • Conducting candidate interviews and matching professionals to suitable opportunities.
  • Visiting schools and becoming a trusted recruitment partner.
  • Managing vacancies from initial brief through to successful placement.
  • Building your own market presence and reputation within the SEND community.
  • Working towards ambitious targets with the support of an experienced team.

This is a highly relationship-led role, but success comes from being proactive, curious and comfortable making calls, starting conversations and creating opportunities.

What We're Looking For

You'll be someone who:

Enjoys the challenge of winning new business.
Builds rapport naturally and communicates with confidence.
Has the resilience to keep going when others give up.
Takes ownership and is motivated by targets and results.
Loves speaking to people and developing relationships.
Can quickly establish credibility with school leaders and education professionals.
Thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
Is organised, proactive and highly self-motivated.
Holds a full UK driving licence and enjoys meeting clients face-to-face.

Experience in recruitment, education, sales, account management or business development would be advantageous.
SEND sector knowledge would be a significant advantage, but we're equally interested in ambitious individuals who are willing to immerse themselves in the market and become genuine specialists.
