With a revenue of over £10m and more than 100 dedicated professionals, our Risk and Compliance Business is a cornerstone of our growing professional services practice. We’re now seeking an outstanding leader to take this part of the business to new heights. 

About the Role: 

As Business Director – Risk and Compliance, you will lead the strategic growth and operational excellence of our Risk and Compliance services under the Judicium brand. Reporting to the Managing Director for Professional Services, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering our strategy, leading a team of senior professionals, and ensuring exceptional client experiences. 

You’ll drive the development of market-leading propositions, optimise operational performance, and inspire your teams to deliver outstanding service with commercial impact. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of the Risk and Compliance business unit. 

• Develop and deliver innovative, tech-enabled service propositions that meet evolving customer needs. 

• Manage P&L, set budgets, and ensure financial targets are met. 

• Build and develop a high-performing, 100+ person team with an empowering leadership approach. 

• Foster a strong customer-first culture and ensure high levels of client retention and satisfaction. 

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver successful go-to-market strategies. 

• Shape and execute an operational model that improves efficiency and supports investment in people. 

• Represent Judicium as a thought leader in the education services sector. 

What We’re Looking For: 

• A senior leader with proven success in driving commercial growth, operational excellence, and high-performing teams. 

• Strong financial acumen and experience managing significant budgets and P&L ownership. 

• A customer-focused, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive innovation and transformation. 

• Skilled in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration 

• Executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire confidence at all levels. 

• Comfortable working at pace and navigating change. 

It would be desirable if you had...

• Experience in delivering professional services, ideally subscription-based. 

• Education sector knowledge or familiarity with areas such as Health & Safety, Data Protection, Governance, or Safeguarding. 

• A tech-savvy approach to service innovation and operational improvement.
