We offer proactive operational and strategic HR advice to hundreds of schools and deliver a high-quality payroll and pensions service that pays the salaries of 25,000 school-based staff each month. We are specialists in the education sector, and are passionate about education, payroll and HR. 

 

What's the Role About?

We are seeking a skilled HR Systems & Technical Support Manager to join our dynamic team and ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the iTrent HRIS system.

This role will involve the following key responsibilities: 

  • System Management: Work with a team to help configure and maintain the iTrent environment to meet and exceed the needs of schools and multi academy trusts. 

  • Project Management: Help coordinate internal and external resources to configure, test and deploy HRIS functionality to meet the needs of clients.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR and Payroll teams to customise the system according to business needs and integrate iTrent with other HR-related software. 

  • Customer Care: Maintain high client satisfaction by ensuring accuracy, addressing service-related issues promptly, and managing escalated client concerns. 

  • Communication: Foster a customer-centric approach, ensuring clear and effective communication with clients and team members. 

  • System Performance: Collaborate with various teams to review, test, and authorise system performance in line with statutory and contractual requirements. 

  • Administration: Ensure all system and technical documentation is up to date, run necessary reports, and maintain accurate records. 

  • Quality & Training: Support, coach, and mentor colleagues, ensuring all team training is current and up to date.

What Can You Bring to the Role?

Experience

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service and communication skills. 

  • Basic understanding of payroll and experience with HRIS/Payroll systems (iTrent highly desirable). 

  • Experience producing Management Information reports and understanding Data Protection and GDPR principles. 

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and advanced Excel skills (v-lookup). 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple accounts and projects. 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong time management and prioritization skills. 

  • A proactive attitude, ready to challenge discrepancies and contribute to continuous improvement.
