About Us:

Neo People Management is a trusted provider of HR and payroll solutions for schools and multi-academy trusts across the UK. As specialists in the education sector, we understand the unique challenges our clients face and are passionate about supporting them to grow and thrive.

Each month, our high-quality payroll and pensions service pays over 62,000 school-based staff, and our expert HR team delivers proactive operational and strategic advice to hundreds of schools. Our people are at the heart of what we do – a knowledgeable, passionate team committed to making a real difference for our clients.

About Us:

We are looking for an iTrent Systems Administrator to join our dedicated team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting the day-to-day running and ongoing development of our iTrent HRIS in a complex, multi-tenanted environment.

This role would suit someone with a background in HR or Payroll administration, who has hands-on experience using iTrent and is keen to build their technical systems knowledge further. You don’t need to be an iTrent configuration expert - we’re looking for someone with a strong foundation, a curiosity for systems, and the confidence to learn.

Working closely with colleagues across HR, Payroll and wider stakeholder groups, you’ll help ensure iTrent is used effectively, accurately and consistently, supporting both internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for the iTrent HRIS, responding to system queries and user questions.

  • Carry out routine system administration tasks to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.

  • Support basic configuration and system changes, with guidance from senior colleagues where needed.

  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate more complex problems appropriately.

  • Assist with system testing, upgrades and process improvements.

  • Produce and maintain management information reports (using Business Objects and Excel).

  • Work collaboratively with HR and Payroll teams to ensure iTrent supports operational needs.

  • Maintain high standards of customer care when dealing with client queries.

  • Attend client meetings (online or in person) where appropriate.

  • Support documentation, knowledge sharing and consistent ways of working.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection, GDPR and internal quality standards.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and keen to develop their systems expertise in a supportive environment.

You’re likely to have:

  • Experience working in an HR, Payroll or Systems Administration role.

  • Hands-on experience using iTrent (for example as a user, administrator or super-user).

  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

  • An interest in HR systems and how technology can improve processes.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • A good understanding of data protection and confidentiality.

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a remote team.

(Experience with iTrent configuration or Business Objects reporting is desirable, but not essential – training and support will be provided.)

Our Benefits:

At Neo People, we are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive and flexible working environment. We celebrate diversity and value the strengths each individual brings to our team.

The salary range for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.

We offer:

  • 36 days annual leave (28 + 8 bank holidays) plus one additional day per year of service (up to 5 extra).

  • Hybrid or remote working available nationwide.

  • Learning & Development opportunities to support your growth.

  • A flexible benefits package including a Healthcare Scheme and the option to purchase additional annual leave.

If you’re passionate about using your iTrent expertise to make a difference in the education sector, we’d love to hear from you.

If you’re looking to develop your HR systems career, build deeper iTrent knowledge, and make a real impact in the education sector, we’d love to hear from you.
