We are looking for a  IT Procurement & Supplier Management Lead.  This role is a part time, hybrid role.

Supporting Education Group (SEG) has recently acquired and number of businesses all of whom have a procurement and supply channel for their IT needs.  We are looking for someone who is able to:
  • Consolidate and optimise the channels into a single simplified and efficient capability
  • Build processes and procedures to ensure SEG gains best value for money
  • Manage and build relationships with suppliers to ensure good service and communications
  • Work with the wider team on new services and harmonisation of hardware, software, and consumables
  • Develop and maintain a good relationship with Finance to ensure accurate budget management and proactive planning of upcoming cost or contract resigns
  • Work with senior team on contracts, commercials, security of supply and exit strategies
You will have experienced in:
  • Sourcing and ordering hardware LAN/WAN/WIFI, end user devices, mobiles, software, and SaaS requirements in conjunction with technical leads
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain best pricing for hardware, software, and services
  • Service reviews and meeting with suppliers to establish and maintain good working relationships
  • Providing the business with quotations in a timely manner for projects
  • Managing software contracts, licensing agreements, renewals & invoicing
  • Help develop automated asset register and renewal/exit calendar for IT
  • Managing the commercial life cycle of devices procured
  • Liaising with finance manager and accounts department for monthly budget forecasting/spend
  • Working with the team on ESG / Sustainable decommissioning / full product life cycle
  • People skills, stakeholder management and communication
  • To contribute to the development of the service to further expand into newly acquired companies.
  • Work with project management and service management to on procurement/supply life cycle
  • Must have CIPS qualification to minimum level 4
What we offer
  • Initial 6-month Fixed Term contract for 20 hours per week
  • Hybrid based mostly remote with an internet connection suitable to support Microsoft teams video chats
  • The ability to travel to London (Bloomsbury) once or twice per month to meet stakeholders
