We are looking for a customer focused, diligent Finance Consultant with a project management mindset to join our wonderful Finance Services Team across the country.
 

As a finance consultant your job is to provide sound financial advice and support and coach educational finance support staff, school leadership and Board/Governing Bodies with managing budgets and helping to make informed operational and strategic decisions.
You will provide a full end to end consultancy service to your client schools, and bespoke finance management support. Working closely with your caseload of clients, you will offer training, ongoing support and guidance.
You will be on the front line of our exceptional support service, to our client schools and academy trust clients and therefore this is a  fast paced, challenging but hugely rewarding role, where  you will have the opportunity to work with a varied mix of clients, often helping them to overcome challenging circumstances.

You will be experienced in all aspects of finance, computerised financial systems and accounting in accordance with agreed service level agreement and DfE guidelines, ensuring that you can be flexible and an authority on areas of concern or improvement within these Education settings.
You will support with a range of tasks from monthly operational financial management and reporting. To developing and improving systems and procedures, reducing inefficiency and improving adherence to sector regulations.

Working remotely you will need to be self- motivated, and enjoy travelling around to meet your clients, as many like someone to be on site with them in a hybrid capacity while working to problem-solve.

• The ideal applicant will be an experienced management accountant, either qualified or studying towards a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
• You will need to have Education Finance, School Business Manager or School Business Leader experience in the academy or MAT sector, or a role where you have been directly working within this environment, and feel confident with systems and procedures in order to advise others.
• As you will need to travel to clients when required it’s essential you have a full driving licence and access to a car.
